What is the BDE course and why does it matter?

BDE stands for Beginner Driver Education — a course approved by Ontario's Ministry of Transportation. Completing an approved course lets you take your G2 road test after 8 months instead of 12, and qualifies you for an insurance discount with most major insurers.

How soon can I take my G2 road test?

If you complete an MTO-approved BDE course like ours, you can take the G2 test 8 months after getting your G1, instead of the standard 12. That's up to four months sooner.

Do you provide a car for the road test?

Yes. Our G2 and G road-test packages include use of our insured, dual-control vehicle, plus a warm-up lesson and a route review around the test centre so you arrive prepared.

Can I take the theory portion online?

Yes. You can complete the 20 hours of classroom theory either in person or through our online option, whichever fits your schedule. The in-car lessons are always in person.

Do you offer lessons in languages other than English?

We do. Our instructors collectively speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Punjabi, Tagalog, Somali, and Arabic. Let us know your preference when you book.

I already have my licence but haven't driven in years. Can you help?

Absolutely. Our refresher lessons are judgment-free and focus on exactly what you want to work on — whether that's highways, parking, or city traffic. Book a single lesson or a package.

What do I need to bring to my first lesson?

Just your G1 (or current licence) and comfortable footwear. We'll handle the rest. If we're picking you up, make sure we have your address when you book.

How do I get my insurance discount?

When you complete our MTO-approved course, we report it to the ministry electronically. You can then provide proof of completion to your insurer to claim the discount — no paperwork to chase down.
